Chapter One- WE meet George and Lennie
Predict:
Imagine:
The scenery as I read is mainly how when George is going over why they had to leave the town of Weeds due to Lennie's fascination with soft things and tugging on the girl's dress. Seeing the fact that Lennie is misunderstood is rather saddening.
Clarify:
That Lennie never really meant to tighten his grip on the girl's dress, he only did it on accident due her screaming. Which then lead to George and him hiding in a irrigation ditch hiding from the angry townspeople who wanted to hang Lennie.
Try:
Use:
I remember a story coming out of my town of Lebanon down in Ohio, when I still lived there. A man was caught going around touching girl's dresses' and other fabrics, but only on the mannequins at the mall. When people started questioning the man, the fact that he was artist, or something to that matter came out, and he was trying to get the texture of different fabrics down to try and paint and draw.
Review:
George and Lennie are two men, probably in their early thirties, or late twenties, looking around the Californian lands looking for work and a way to make money to support themselves. And due to Lennie, they've had to leave towns and go out hiding in the wilderness. George always has a plan for anything to happen to them, like if something happens, like the townspeople finding Lennie, to hide in the bushes on the riverbank on the Salinas river.
- Lennie, being the big lug he his, will probably do something to make George scold him
- George and Lennie maybe living off the side of a river, but they'll eventually make it to somewhere that they can be accepted into a group of people who share interests with them.

Try:
- When did Lennie and George get together and why?
- Why would George be so quick to flare up his temper with Lennie?
- When will George learn that Lennie really doesn't mean any harm, and why even bother with getting angry with the man?
